I think I’m supposed to choose a book I’ve read a long time ago, but right now, I need to choose this one, I haven’t stopped thinking about it since I read it. I think that everyone should read it, is a hymn to the diversity, to love and friendship and deserves all the love.

Honestly, one of the best books I read in my life. Out of My Life and Thought is worth reading for several reasons. First, the narrative itself is lively.

Mythologizing aside, Schweitzer was a skillful writer who knew how to capture his reader with fascinating and provocative detail. Second, if you set aside the cynicism de jour for a few hours, Schweitzer's story is still inspiring.
